About the Team

The Digital Practice team is a dedicated team of technologists with a passion for student success. We build products that enable students to prepare for a successful digital testing experience by offering them tailored feedback on the outcome of their practice exams and guide them to additional materials to help them improve.

We leverage serverless infrastructure and modern technologies to be a force-multiplier for the programs we serve. We are proactive, passionate, and outcome-oriented, putting a premium on quality and efficiency. We use Agile scrum to manage our work and deliver value regularly following a DevOps model.

We are constantly seeking out, experimenting, and harnessing new technologies to build easy-to-use user interfaces. We work closely with product owners, architects, user experience and students to serve our mission.

About the Opportunity

As a Full Stack Engineer, you are a talented technologist and problem solver. You have a strong interest in understanding and improving products for our students. You will use a variety of technologies to build, operate, and maintain software and automation solutions in an ever-growing cloud environment. You will contribute to all phases of software engineering including requirements definition and analysis, application design, coding, testing, deploying and support.

n this role, you will:

Design & Implementation (75%)

  • Design and implement high-quality software using the latest technologies with a focus on building component-based, cost-effective, scalable, and secure.

{=html} <!-- --> - Maintain the highest engineering standards in collaboration with product owners, architects, and stakeholders, in support of our systems and services.

{=html} <!-- --> - Build solutions using the best practices of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps

Team Operations & Success (25%)

  • Participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily SCRUM, Demo) and contribute to team deliverables

{=html} <!-- --> - Participate in peer reviews of software engineering artifacts

{=html} <!-- --> - Maintain, Operate and Monitor products that the teams builds

{=html} <!-- --> - Assist in the identification and resolution of production issues

{=html} <!-- --> - Ensure the team is adhering to development standards and security policies and procedures

About you, you have:

  • Ideally 4+ years of professional software development experience

{=html} <!-- --> - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with JavaScript/Typescript, React, Node.js

{=html} <!-- --> - Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform and experience working with AWS resources such as ApiGateway, Cloudfront, S3, SNS/SQS, Lambda, AWS WAF/WebACL, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, DynamoDB.

{=html} <!-- --> - Experience provisioning and managing Cloud infrastructure as code using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and/or AWS CloudFormation.

{=html} <!-- --> - Strong experience with version control using Git, continuous integration, and test automation.

{=html} <!-- --> - Experience with technical support using tool such as Pager Duty to identify and resolve issues.

{=html} <!-- --> - Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive.

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is \$132,000 to \$143,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this rang
