Job Description Summary

In this role, you will provide ServiceMax functional support to the Service team’s applications, processes and reporting tools. As part of the Global IT Finance Team, this role often leads by driving requirements gathering, documentation of process flows, analyzing functional gaps that drive enhancements, integrations, implementations, testing and break/fix maintenance.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for enabling business strategy and performance by applying technology solutions to finance processes and priorities, designing and understanding system linkages and data structures for the purpose of automation and decision making around our Services CRMs (including ServiceMax).

  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices on how our Services Functional applications integrate with other GE HealthCare applications (including Oracle).

  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others.

  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. These jobs have significant input into their priorities. Jobs at this level tend to be covered by professional practices and policies but these are shaped by the role. Working within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

  • Drive ServiceMax/Siebel & Oracle Financial Systems effectiveness and accounting integrity through ongoing systems implementation and enhancements, user support and financial process controls.

  • Partner with Local Operations team to analyze and evaluate requirements for Service system solutions and enhancements that improve business processes which meet GAP and Statutory requirements.

  • Lead Siebel to Smax Transition including mapping “As Is” and “To Be” process and Testing Support for Local Team during CRP & ITEST testing cycles.

  • Provide financial leadership around the Service organization’s close activities including Receivables, Inventory & General Ledger transactions monitoring, reporting data integrity, user support and issue remediation.

  • Service Finance Champion for local finance in support of escalation and prioritization for IT/Helpdesk resolution to ServiceMax & Billing Finance Engine production issues.

  • Leverage finance systems experience to ensure systemic tie to processes and help remediate accounting disconnects.

  • Leverage lean, simplification and six sigma tools to increase finance systems effectiveness and productivity.

  • Support SOX 404 compliance activities around system transaction monitoring, data integrity and user access controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years of experience in Finance IT.

  • Translates high-level requirements into detailed level requirements (user stories) to be consumed by the development pods in each sprint, while ensuring stories and features are added iteratively to the product to add overall value

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change

  • Clear thinking / problem solving successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas

  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing

  • Project management experience with multi-national resources

  • Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP

  • Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership

  • Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $110,160.00-$165,240.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
