UL, LLC Global HR Process Manager in Chicago, Illinois

The Global People Services team is seeking a Global HR Process Manager to join our growing team! Reporting to the Director HR, Global People Services this newly created and critical role will be responsible for working globally and regionally on the documentation and standardization of End-to-End HR operational processes to drive improvements, consistency and automation across the Global People Services function. Partnering with Regional HR and COEs, the Global HR Process Manager will identify opportunities to streamline, automate and bring uniformity to major HR operational processes around the globe to achieve operational efficiencies and provide a more consistent, simplified and modern employee experience for all ULS employees. Role can be based out of any UL site globally

  • Document and drive global process design for major HR operational processes

  • Utilize process design and review methodologies to ensure all aspects of process steps and opportunities are captured.

  • Partnering with regional and local HR, lead regional and global improvement workstreams to streamline and bring consistency to major HR operational processes in each region, utilizing global standards

  • In collaboration with the HRIS team, identify opportunities to better leverage existing HR technology (ServiceNow and Oracle HCM) to automate and optimize HR operational processes

  • Identify and communicate cross functional dependencies, barriers and issues when creating or changing end-to-end HR process

  • Partner with regional HR and COEs to drive change management, communication and process change adoption

  • Ensure statutory, SOX, and/or regulatory requirements are incorporated and documented into all HR operational processes

  • Act as the escalation point for all GPS audit findings, partnering with respective regional HR and COE leaders to resolve

  • Establish and maintain high quality relationships across the Global People Services organization, ensuring process decisions and implementations balance both global perspective and local nuances successfully

  • Establish KPIs and Metrics to track benefits of improvement implementations, as well as to monitor / control the sustainment of completed improvements

  • University degree in Human Resources or Business Administration

  • 7-10 years of hands-on HR operational experience, ideally in a global setting

  • Significant project management experience and/or experience leading successful process design/process improvement projects within the HR function

  • Experience in process mapping, process review and measurement methodologies

  • Technically savvy with experience leveraging technology to streamline and automate HR processes

  • Results-oriented with an ownership mentality to drive solutions that require cross-functional collaboration

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actional insights and strategic recommendations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to build relationships and use influence to drive results through cross-functional and global teams
