Job Summary

Working as the HR Operations Manager, your primary focus will be supporting the Human Resources function to meet the business's and HR needs. The HR manager will lead in all functional areas: team member relations, HR-specific training, HR legal requirements and compliance, development and revision of HR policies and procedures, team engagement, performance and merit increase monitoring, hiring non-exempt team members and managing data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all Company HR-related policies are applied consistently.

  • Objectively coaches associates and management through complex and difficult issues.

  • Guide management on appropriate corrective action and assist with on-site investigations.

  • Oversees hourly recruitment and onboarding.

  • Maintains and coordinates recognition programs.

  • Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.

  • Regularly runs and/or reviews HR activity reports.

  • Supports our team engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.

  • Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, and implement HR initiatives.

  • Review any request for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency. Process status change forms.

  • Prepares, coordinates, and presents HR-related topics and other HR-related training.

  • Acts as the diversity champion by leading assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities, including diverse recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.

  • Assists in creating Personal Development Plans, as appropriate, for team members.

  • Participates in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.

  • Three plus years of human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus.

  • Previous experience in a centralized HR environment, preferably in a corporate setting.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.

  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.

  • Strong presentation skills required.

  • Training certification is a plus (i.e., Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey, etc.).
