Job Description

Join Our Team as a Logistics Supervisor at Our Chicago 71st Street Site!

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, will oversee the management of material flow in and out of the plant, ensure inventory accuracy, and address near-term storage requirements. You will lead a team of material handlers and the material control supervisor, with three direct reports. This leadership position is perfect for someone who thrives on driving continuous improvement efforts and excels in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and tracks site logistics KPIs; works with the operations manager on production planning efforts to improve process equipment reliability and OEE.

• Reviews & creates logistics processes and procedures for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, process improvements, etc.

• Manages receipts process for raw materials, trading goods and services, including work cycles and SAP transactions to support 3PLs.

• Performs plant cycle counts and transacts cycle count reconciliations in SAP for raw materials and intermediates.

• Works alongside finance and accounts payable to identify variances in inventory/storage billing records.

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.

• Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator

Required Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or GED

• 3-5 Years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or related fields

• Demonstrated proficiency in SAP

• Strong bias to action; self-directed with a strong work ethic; capable of working independently with limited supervision

• Ability to lead a small team and hold people accountable for their work

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related

• Raw material management in a manufacturing environment

• Leadership and/or supervisory experience is a plus

• Macro use and skills are a plus
