Acosta Group Master Trainer, Google Stores in Chicago, Illinois

DESCRIPTION

The Training Team is an integral part of the Google Stores program. The Training Team delivers brand product, sales skills, and store operations training to new hires and existing team members. As a Master Trainer, you will oversee store-level Lead Trainers and Managers to deliver consistently superb, enthusiastic, and engaging training experiences to store staff. You will work closely with our client and internal stakeholders to establish new content, develop resources, and ensure training is constantly evolving to meet the business needs.

Work location must be one of these: New York, NY; Boston, MA; Mountain View, CA; Chicago, IL area; or Los Angeles, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with store teams and clients to proactively determine sales and product training priorities and what training to deliver to ensure the highest business impact.

  • Conduct training initiatives, continual education, and workshops for products and services, while emphasizing value proposition.

  • Create, and partner to create, hands-on, face-to-face delivery of product and technical training for staff, including train-the-trainer activities, and to key partners and client.

  • Design and implement follow-up activities to strengthen and sustain knowledge gained and skills developed from technical training programs and courses.

  • Continuously work with Lead Trainers and Managers to improve / customize existing programs and courses.

  • Participate in training planning conversations with regional leadership, partner managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to tailor content for learners as required.

  • Coordinate, design and implement training/education plans to drive retail sales using sales data, mystery shop results, NPS, and others to develop training strategy.

  • Oversee and maintain program specific LMS/training repository, systems, and reporting.

  • Facilitates Training Team conference calls to provide partnership and create solutions to address business needs around product education and selling behaviors.

  • Continuous improvement and customization of existing training programs, tools, and courses.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in education, training/development or academic teaching of adult learners required.

  • 3+ years of experience conducting sales and operations training for national tech retailer.

  • 3-5 years’ experience with leading, managing, guiding, and developing direct reports.

  • Project management or account management experience preferred.

  • Travel up to 50% to various venues and geographies.

  • Demonstrated ability to teach, inspire, coach and develop a team through feedback and hands on engagement.

  • Experience providing live training to a diverse set of sales teams and representatives from new sellers to highly experienced veterans.

  • Experience creating, maintaining and/or delivering content in fast-moving technology areas, with ability to proactively build training content outlines and critical path timelines for deliverables.

  • Experience in creating curriculum, lesson plans, and assessments.

  • Excellent people skills; relationship building, influential, motivational .

  • Superior multi-tasking abilities: willingness to dive in wherever needed while keeping assigned projects on track.

  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization of tasks.

  • Superior interpersonal skills to work closely with other team members, sales associates, retail sales management, and clients.

  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Must be open to receive constructive and specific feedback to improve skill, evolve the needs of the brand and further develop as a professional.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective partnerships.
