The Opportunity
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Account Lead to join our National Sales Team. In this role, you will develop and nurture long-term, strategic partnerships with a designated set of accounts to increase Hyatt's performance across all regions. This role does work with both the transient and group segments. There will be defined goals, including a revenue target and other specific sales targets you will achieve through implementing the organization’s B2B sales strategy, customer engagements, and other tactics focused on increasing revenue, shifting market share, finding new business opportunities, and increasing Hyatt's brand awareness globally. The Role
Responsibilities include a core focus on total account management (both transient and group segments) As an Account Lead on the National Sales team, you will manage, own, and drive room night production and volume within your set account base by bridging your expertise and knowledge of our hotels, brands, and commercial offerings to your customers’ needs. You will be responsible for growing Hyatt’s presence in your customers’ hotel programs, identifying new business opportunities for our hotels, and leveraging Hyatt’s value proposition to grow revenue and exceed sales targets through a strategic sales approach. While this remote position
requires a highly motivated individual, our National Sales team cross-collaborates with all commercial areas of the organization. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of national Sales. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to understanding customer trends, day-to-day account management, handling leads and RFPs, contributing to team accounts, leading and/or collaborating on strategic company initiatives and projects, maintaining travel expenses within a set budget, generating, and analyzing reports, and professionally representing Hyatt and our brands at key customer engagements and industry functions.
•Negotiate competitive deals offering value to the customer while maintaining profitability for Hyatt
•Create and implement strategic action plans for a portfolio of accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals
•Plan and organize sales calls and business travel, including customer appointments, quarterly business reviews, tradeshow/industry event participation, Fam Trips, and internal meetings as appropriate
•Effectively communicate and bring Hyatt’s story to life
•Champion new and needed hotels and other company initiatives and priorities
•Resourcefully engage all areas of the organization to find collaboration opportunities, experiment, and secure the sale
•Possess a strong customer service mindset
•Engage with hotel sales teams, operators, and owners to build rapport and increase awareness of the National Sales team
•Stay current on market conditions, forecasts, and trends and translate to action with proactive measures to drive sales
•Maintain a high level of productivity while working independently in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environment
•Demonstrate strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership mindset
•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
•Minimum 5 years of hotel experience in the same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role.
•Strong sales knowledge of transient, group, and leisure segments.
•Multiple hotel and brand experience is a plus
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business required
•Efficient with computer skills (Microsoft Office)
•Envision, EAS, Agency 360, Lanyon RFP Proficiency, LinkedIn Navigator
