Aerotek Production Operator in Chicago, Illinois

Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to work in two main areas: Spray Booth and Welder Operator. In the Spray Booth role, you will use an industrial spray paint gun to apply coatings on paint cans. You will adjust the pressures of the spray gun, air pressures of tanks, and change out colors. As a Welder Operator, you will load and unload workpieces into welding machines, start, monitor, and adjust a robotic welding production line, and follow instructions from Quality Control to ensure all specifications are met. Testing and visual inspection of completed workpieces for defects or quality issues are also key responsibilities.

Hard Skills

  • 1+ year in fast-paced manufacturing

  • Palletizing

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions

  • Visual inspection skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chicago, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large, fast-paced manufacturing setting filled with high-speed conveyors and various press machines. In the Can/Pail Assembly area, you will be working with a team of 5-10 people. In the Can Press area, you will work closely with one other person.
