Job Description:
1) Collects and interprets all information from various project staff to maintain daily project log. May prepare weekly schedule including the weekly 2-3 week look ahead, which incorporate input from the Project Manager and/or Superintendent and is used during weekly owner meetings.
2) Prepares and distributes required daily documentation including some or all of the following: 1) costs, budgets and revenues reports, 2) cost reports for comparison of as-bid to as-built, and 3) production reports, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting for project. May issue field purchase orders as required and/or review daily timesheets from Foremen for accuracy.
3) Coordinates all survey layout and control activities as well as field as-built drawings. Participates in work planning sessions with survey crew to establish proper project controls. Records location of completed structures required for later identification or relocation.
4) Participates in project reporting and job control activities to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing. Recommends potential sequencing changes to schedule to optimize adherence to budget. May track quantities for all self-performed work activities and/or subcontractors.
5) Updates software, identifies/assesses potential deviations in quantities or payments from owners and to subcontractors. Reviews quality/quantity reports and associated rework costs. Reports any deviations to project management.
6) Maintains tracking logs/lists of materials delivered and informs project management of change orders, RFIs, and claims that may impact schedule and the preparation of related estimating and/or billing documents. Maintains quality logs and tracks rework costs. May order materials, schedule concrete pours/steel deliveries and track rental equipment.
7) Inspects project site(s) to identify potential safety, site layout and/or compliance issues and reports to appropriate management. Participates and conducts THA, JHA and work plans in accordance with Walsh safety plan.
8) Performs other duties as assigned. May include preparation of invoices ensuring accurate coding of project costs, submittal and/or interpretation of contract drawings for use in the field, scheduling subcontractor activities and taking photographs depicting weekly project progress.
9) May assist with construction and analysis of three-dimensional digital models for project constructability analysis, coordination activities, quantity takeoffs, conceptual estimates, cost analysis, scheduling and other communication purposes.
10) May collect and review design documentation for project requirements; prepare project phasing, project logistics and site utilization graphics. Participate in the development of presentation and communication media and message, including the production and editing of rendered, animated, photograph and video deliverables.
Ensures that construction work complies with engineering principles, cost guidelines, reporting requirements and field engineering activities for assigned project(s). Major focus will vary depending on project needs and priorities.
