Quality Control Inspector 2nd shift

We have a fantastic full time career opportunity in Chicago for a qualifiedQuality Control Inspector. You will perform dimensional inspection of critical, large machine parts for our nuclear business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Candidate must at least 5 years of current inspection experience. Must have experience using manual precision measuring equipment for large components. Ideal candidate will have current experience usingmicrometers up to 60 inches.

-Must have excellent written, verbal and reading skills and have excellent computer skills.\ -Previous machine shop experience a plus in a custom job shop.

-Dimensionally inspect large parts using large ANALOG micrometers, gauges, calipers\ -Calibration of measuring and test utilized for performing inspection and test activities.\ -Enter data into ERP system

-Develop detailed reports for incoming, in process and final inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years previous inspection experience and must be familiar with analog measuring tools.
• Experience using manual analog precision tools: micrometers, gauges, calipers, inside outside and depth micrometers
• Experience conducting visual inspections
• Ability to prioritize and take direction from all levels of management.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, familiar with MS Office suite.
• High School Diploma and a valid drivers license.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS:

• Level 1 certification or higher (NDE) or (NDT), (UT-ultrasound)

• 2nd Shift (2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
• Quality Control Inspections: 5 years (Preferred)

Pay: \$25.00 - \$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
