Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Hours: Mon- Friday 8am-5pm (Availability on Weekends if needed)

Job Description

Quality Control Technician:

• Conduct in-process and finished product quality checks/inspections. Test processing batches and finished goods to ensure compliance to specification.

• Interpret and record results of all checks/inspections performed; document results in accordance with established processes and procedures.

• Perform Critical Control verifications and confirm compliance.

• Follow Hold procedures for all non-conforming material or product. Document release if applicable.

• Retain samples for Mold Study - one sample per finished product produced daily.

• Review of in-process and finished product paperwork, ensuring compliance to requirements.

• Report any issues or discrepancies regarding food safety or quality to management and applicable supervisors

• Perform other task or duties as required by QA Manager

• Perform Glass, Brittle Plastic, Wood and Ceramic monthly inspections.

• Responsible for all pre-operational inspections of the equipment and facility before production startup and/or changeovers.

• Performs ATP swabbing for sanitation verification.

• Perform scales and thermometer calibrations.

• Perform analytical (Moisture, pH, TTA) and sensory (color, taste, smell) on finished product samples.

• Assist in the investigation of any foreign material findings

• Perform other task or duties as required by QA Manager

Maintain Hold Log:

• Maintain food manufacturing Log

• Performs monthly Environmental testing

• Training of employees on policies and procedures

• Conduct ingredient COA reviews and maintain records

• Assist the QA Manager with internal audits and inspections
