We currently offer the following fully remote position: Regional Sales Manager, Medical

Come join a fantastic team! The Regional Sales Manager, Medical is responsible for all aspects of managing a designated region with revenue of approximately $30M. The incumbent works primarily in the field supporting Independent Manufacturing Representatives (IMRs) as well as partnering with other manufacturers and companies that sell Leica products. Responsible for the leadership and driving growth in the Ophthalmology segment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage designated region distribution for the medical market segments, managing the overall region sales pipeline. (i.e. by stage, Value Selling, win/loss analysis, etc.)

  • Provide strategy, plan, and leadership to grow the business in line with the strategic plan

  • Develop annual strategic plan for the region of responsibility for entire Medical portfolio

  • Measure and manage the IMR performance

  • Manage price discount

  • Support market research and analysis (VOC) in close co-operation with internal Leica departments globally

  • Support marketing planning for the market

YOUR PROFILE

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, minimum 7+ years in technical capital equipment sales, minimum 3+ years managing either employees or distributors/partners

  • Experience in surgical microscopy, neurosurgery, and/or ophthalmology required

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities including ability to drive high employee engagement within team and within other teams in the organization. Ability to build strong, high performing teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop indirect sales channels, direct sales channels, other internal managers.

  • Ability to analyze situations, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to drive structured process improvements including funnel management

  • Ability to work well in a matrixed environment requiring high degree of influencing skills

  • Good time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills

    TRAVEL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel (50%) – primarily overnight, domestic

  • Must have valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for incentive pay.
