Description

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join the growing Structural Department at Ardmore Roderick. We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager level candidate who is interested in overseeing projects, interacting with clients and supervising design staff. You will work on various types of projects involving bridge design, retaining walls, culverts and drainage structures. Additional duties include:

· Oversee and mentor Junior Engineers

· Perform structural calculations and drawings and review those of others

· Perform Quality Control reviews

· Prepare RFP’s submittals and Go/No Go potential pursuits

· Serve as a technical expert on structural matters

· Perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals

· Perform bridge inspections and prepare necessary reports

· Lead project meetings both internally and with clients

· Manage scope/schedule/budget of projects

· Other duties as necessary

Requirements

· BSCE degree with structural emphasis, MSCE preferred

· 10+ years of experience in bridge design

· Structural Engineer (SE) License is strongly preferred

· Professional Engineer (PE) License required

· Familiarity with IDOT, Tollway and Local Agencies

· Rail experience a plus

· Proficiency with structural analysis software

· Working knowledge of Microstation and Autocad

· Experience leading tasks and design teams

· Excellent written and verbal skills
