Job Purpose:

You are responsible for the delivery of Finance project and maintenance activities within our North American and Global Finance Solutions. You will development and implement best practices and harmonize processes in your area of responsibility. You will liaise with the North America CFO pillars, IT, process management and other company stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute as an expert and/or representative for Finance as proxy product owner or product owner in agile release trains and other projects and initiatives.

  • Develop further financial applications, as well as the system architecture and process landscape, in close collaboration with the North America and global CFO pillars, IT, process management and other Group functions.

  • Support the Closing process, Planning process and Payment processing by coordinating and monitoring associated activities for issue identification and resolution and by analyzing business related issues.

  • Execute or contribute to the execution of governance processes for Finance Solutions.

  • Perform Finance business analyses in order to distill the essentials and the true business needs of the North America Finance function (the "What"), as input for the work in projects and agile release trains.

  • Review audit findings related to financial applications and processes, identify possible courses of action to address findings in collaboration with involved stakeholders and implement steps to mitigate.

  • Harmonize, document and implement Finance related processes, based on sound analysis of various inputs from the different Finance teams and other sources.

  • Work on change initiatives and solutions development within Finance Solutions.

  • Guide and mentor junior staff.

    Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Finance experience;

  • Insurance know-how (ideally P& C) as well as understanding of complexities inherent in an insurance group (consolidation processes, legal vs management view) allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting;

  • Professional experience in reinsurance or insurance;

  • Proven experience in application and process development in Insurance Industry;

  • Understanding of data modeling, operations and technical workflows with regards to financial reporting and closing operations;

  • Ability to work as Proxy Product Owner and/or Business Expert in Agile Release Trains or other agile setups, applying agile methods and behaviors and fostering them, while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements;

  • Ability to manage projects (e.g., milestone and task planning, managing resources, controlling, monitoring, reporting, and moderating) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements;
