We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Senior Manager Clinical Operations on our Improving Health Outcome team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a Senior Manager Clinical Operations, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership, planning, executing, and sustaining solutions with clients and collaborators Responsible for leading initiatives, managing deliverables, and supporting solution activation and enablement with collaborators pursuing clinical excellence in CVD prevention and management. Collaborates directly with multi-disciplinary teams from multiple market segments (channel partners, health systems, primary care practices, FQHC / CHC, PCAs, ACOs), supporting them during their end to end CVD prevention solution activation, dissemination and scale. Leads enablement support service to ensure mutually beneficial and measurable success of the collaboration over time; collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with AMA/ IHO policy, quantification of progress toward business unit goals and objectives, and execution of a shared vision to prevent CVD.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solution Activation & Enablement

  • Lead activities associated with CVD prevention solution dissemination including targeting, pipeline development, pitching, and relationship management.

  • Manage and support health care organizations (HCOs) and channel partner solution implementers through the end-to-end solution deployment, ensuring measurable and sustained success over time.

  • Right size IHO support required to manage deployment with health care collaborators based on size, complexity, and strategic relationships.

  • Collaborate with IHO leadership to develop systems, processes and measurement to assess and monitor solutions over time.

  • Provide input into development and improvement of solutions to optimize activation and enablement services.

    Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop the operating system needed to support solution dissemination, optimization, deployment and improvement.

  • Empower informed strategic decision-making by proactively evaluating the anticipated return on investment for the IHO team to work with a prospective collaborator.

  • Responsible for leading the scope development, managing decision support activities and contracting with solution line collaborators.

  • Lead the integration of tactics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness for all deployments by coordinating and connecting across IHO teams.

  • Deploy change management and continuous improvement strategies to ensure learnings are shared and integrated into future solution line iterations over time.

    Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and manage stakeholder business and clinical relationships with external collaborators (existing and prospective).

  • Responsible for interfacing with all levels of collaborator stakeholder (c suite to front line).

  • Identify collaborator success stories and coordinate with marketing and communications team to elevate and showcase the voice of our collaborators.

  • Manage executive level stakeholder relationships internally across all AMA business units.

  • Follow practices that create loyal clients, including deploying the principles of service recovery and risk mitigation to protect collaborator relationships.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field or equivalent required; master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in health care operations, experience as an RN or medical assistant preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program development, quality improvement, performance excellence, change management and/or clinical education.

  • Demonstrated expertise in health care business operations including stakeholder management, data management, auditing and analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse teams and serving historically marginalized patient populations.

  • Experience with clinical informatics and using electronic health records (EHR) required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with primary health care teams including senior leadership, and success in influencing changes in processes and practices; ability to recognize the relationship between primary health care and the complex systems of health care delivery.

  • Strong project management skills; able to effectively manage time; prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and manage to a budget; able to manage ambiguity, independently problem solve and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting in a large group setting.

  • Some travel required.
