JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Chicago, Illinois

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements and performing ambiguity testing to identify incompleteness, testability, uncertainty, and inconsistency. Assist in solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Create process flows, liaise with various teams for on-time resolution, document application specifications, translate functional requirements into programmed application modules, and maintain responsibility for requirements elicitation, backlog maintenance, refinements, and detailed level requirements documentation. Take an active role in reviewing code based on the functionality developed by the technical and testing teams to ensure solutions are aligned with pre-defined business requirements and architecture specifications. Contribute to technical design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Project Manager, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: MySQL; MS Access; DB2; MarkLogic DB; JIRA; Azure DevOps; Eclipse; Virtual Studio Code; SOAP UI; Postman; Excel features such as formulae and macros; Miro.

Job Location: 10 S. Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60603. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
