Description Robert Half is currently looking for an efficient Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy to be a part of a terrific long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities
Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Other projects as necessary Requirements - Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
Skilled in financial reporting
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skilled with ERP systems
Expertise in QuickBooks
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
