Expected salary range of $96,300 to $107,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Serve as the subject matter expert/point of contact for the Constellation Enterprise in matters involving the hiring and employment of foreign national workers. Manage and execute the company's immigration program. Collaborate with HR and management to identify and resolve immigration-related issues. Act as liaison with foreign national employees, management, government agencies, and outside counsel. Corporate signatory for DOL and USCIS immigration-related filings. Train & oversee other analysts on nonimmigrant visa preparation. Manage outside counsel performance and spend. Significantly reduce outside counsel spend by personally preparing and filing nonimmigrant visa petitions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage and coordinate immigration applications and petitions, permanent residency process, travel/visa application/stamping, case strategy and status. Prepare and file nonimmigrant visa petitions (H-1B, TN, L-1A) with DOL and USCIS in order to significantly reduce outside counsel spend. Monitor changes in U.S. immigration laws to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Create and develop relationships with key stakeholders (HR, business unit leaders, and foreign national employees) from pre-offer through permanent residency status. Partner with the business and HR to provide immigration solutions, develop strategies, and communicate options throughout all stages of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes. Stay abreast of foreign national employees job changes (locations, duties, terminations) to ensure work status compliance with federal regulations.
Apply principles and practices of budget preparation for internal and outside counsel spend. Manage outside counsel performance and spend.
Provide guidance to Talent Acquisition on employment eligibility for potential non-US worker candidates.
Provide training and guidance as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years employment based immigration experience
Knowledge of US immigrations laws, regulations and procedures
Knowledge of F-1, L-1, H-1B, TN, and permanent labor certification processes
Knowledge and understanding of the company's organizational structure
Knowledge of principles of budget preparation and forecasting
Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize in a fast paced environment
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to work under ambiguity, manage change and be proactive in a dynamic environment
Ability to work independently and as an integral member of cross-functional teams
Ability to travel when necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and knowledge of the energy industry
Demonstrate superior knowledge of the business and industry
Experience with Excel and LawLogix immigration case management system
