Job Description:

McDonald’s has set an ambition to become a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement leader. To make this happen, McDonald’s is standing up a Global Indirect Sourcing and Procurement Modernization (GI Mod) program. This program will help McDonald’s to better use our scale and unlock sustainable value for our company and communities. We are transforming our Indirect Sourcing and Procurement capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create One McDonald’s Way of buying Indirect goods and services responsibly.

This program presents an exceptional career opportunity to be a part of this journey as the PMO Lead for GI Mod. This is a unique role critical to supporting two workstreams, GBS Spend Transformation and Global Operating Model Design & Deployment, within GI Mod. These programs deliver near-term value collection in the procurement of indirect goods and services for McDonald’s Corp & US business and sustainable medium-long term value through transformation of global indirect sourcing and procurement processes, solutions, and capabilities respectively. The PMO lead will be instrumental in helping these two workstream to work together, unlocking funding for Global Business Services transformation at McDonald’s and supporting broader enterprise transformation objectives.

Reporting to the GI Mod Overall Program Lead, the role is pivotal in driving the successful execution of the GI Mod Program, ensuring that it delivers value and achieves the intended objectives. It requires a combination of project management expertise, indirect sourcing and procurement domain knowledge and superior leadership skills to effectively lead and manage the transformation program and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Governance, Planning & Execution Develop and maintain governance structures, processes and key project management artefacts for effective oversight and decision-making across GI Mod. Including detailed project plans, timelines, forums, and quality standards for program management.

Partner Management

  • Working with change and communications teams, identify and segment partners, communication vehicles and reporting and update mechanisms to lead expectations.

Risk & Resource Management

  • Identification, mitigation, and management of risks throughout the program lifecycle. Allocation of personnel, budget and associated resources for activities and initiatives

  • Program performance monitoring and reporting.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess program health, prepare progress updates and reporting for the program, partners, and senior leadership with recommendations on continuous improvement opportunities.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

  • Build, lead and maintain key PMO artefacts including plans, reports, risk logs, lessons learned and ensure full, up-to-date visibility for program team

Qualifications:

  • Extensive program management skills and qualifications for large-scale transformation programs including planning, organization and coordination of activities, scheduling, budgeting & resource management, and risk management.

  • Experience of working within an Indirect Sourcing and Procurement environment, with demonstrable functional knowledge and business acumen

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to build trust, motivate and galvanize program team members, partners and leadership including team building and collaboration for collective success.

  • A strategic approach with the ability to connect workstream, GI Mod and GBS transformation to ensure alignment with broader enterprise objectives and priorities.

  • Agility and adaptability to continue to align program delivery with business needs, including analyzing complex problems and developing innovative solutions to ensure success.

  • Resilience in the face of change and opposition, ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty whilst remaining focused on achieving results despite challenges and setbacks
