Job Description:

The Commercial Product & Platform vision develops global technology products and platforms that delight our customers and enable our crews to operate our restaurants reliably and effectively.

Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager, reports to Director of Engineering, DevOps COE. As the leader of our SRE pillar in the DevOps COE, you will lead the technical strategy and vision for our reliability practices for our mobile application. We invite you to be part of our team, driving the transformation of our reliability engineering subject area by working closely with our Engineering community, Technical Leads, Product, and Architecture teams.

Responsibilities

  • Has an oversight on design decisions and guides team to achieve key results for products assigned to them

  • Resolves issues using engineering principles and builds proactive design solutions for potential failures.

  • Take charge of a team of site reliability engineers who are responsible for developing a continuous reliability approach and implementing crucial site reliability engineering practices.

  • Design and drive monitoring, alerting, ticket reporting strategies to measure SLA, SLO, MTTI, MTTR and align with management expectations to reduce/minimize prod downtime

  • Guide site reliability automation to help eliminate manual toil and build a self-healing capability

  • Participate in selection of appropriate automation tools, defining technology, quality, experience and implementation standards and practices within own technical domain

"The salary range for the role is $146350 - $186590 per year." 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer with at least 3+ years as a people manager or similar positions

  • Experience with SRE design to address reliability and resiliency with availability

  • Experience in working in a cloud environment

  • Experience in mobile development on iOS and Android

  • Strong experience with DevOps (CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar; Git/GitHub)

  • Proven skills in high availability and scalability design, as well as performance monitoring and testing

  • Extremely comfortable with production environments, firewalls, and networking

  • Proven expertise in deploying, observing, altering, logging, and monitoring systems (New Relic, Data dog or something similar) with a dedication to predictive analysis.

  • Experience collaborating with colleagues, showing proficiency in interpersonal and written communication.
