Position Title: Structural Engineer

Job Overview: Responsibilities include developing structural design calculations, conducting structural analysis and research, preparing specifications, and creating structural drawings. The engineer will utilize ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes, along with PCI and PTI Design Guidelines, for designing foundations, superstructures, and other building components. The role may also involve site visits to review testing, inspection, and field reports, and collaborating with the Senior Structural Engineer on structural research and analysis reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with geotechnical, architectural, and MEP team members to complete projects.

• Develop structural design calculations, conduct structural analysis and research, prepare specifications, and create structural drawings.

• Apply ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes, as well as PCI and PTI Design Guidelines, to design foundations, superstructures, and related building components.

• Assist with site visits to review testing, inspection, and field reports.

• Work with the Senior Structural Engineer to provide structural research and analysis reports.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in structural engineering.

• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, and IBC building codes, as well as PCI and PTI Design Guidelines.

• Experience in structural design, structural analysis, and construction documentation.

• Ability to perform structural analysis and design of concrete (including precast, conventional, and post-tensioned cast-in-place), structural steel, and masonry.

• Experience with wind/seismic analysis, spread footing, and deep and shallow retention walls.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

• Must have EIT certification and be on track towards PE; SE certification is a plus.

• At least 2 years of post-graduate structural engineering experience.
