The Technical Product Manager is responsible for providing oversight to the IT service request system, technology lifecycle of Systemwide assets, and managing the bank annual budget and multi-year strategic plan for technology expenses. This position is considered expert level and is accountable for the performance and results of a team of professionals or people leaders. The incumbent works independently with minimal supervision. This position has direct reports.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management Responsibilities

  • Trains, supervises, establishes goals, provides guidance and coaching to team leads and staff.

  • Evaluates team lead and staff performance; creates and supports execution of development plans.

  • Recommends team leads and staff for promotion and salary actions.

  • Makes hiring and termination decisions.

  • Develops and executes the strategy for area(s) of oversight.

  • Creates and manages resource plans and budget and forecast activities.

  • May use influence and expertise to drive enterprise level policy and procedure decisions.

  • Leads and influences high impact/priority workgroups.

  • Provides expert advice and consultative services to different audiences, including senior leadership, business units, and external stakeholders.

Technical Product Responsibilities

  • Oversees the IT service request system, which includes creating and maintaining solutions for the storefront that enables all Bank staff to procure needed equipment, software, and Business Enablement products and/or services.

  • Manages and oversees the lifecycle and procurement strategies of Bank hardware and software, wireless plans, and related products, including implementing and managing a multi-year plan for technology expenses across all Bank business areas that maximizes the usage of the multi-million-dollar annual budget.

  • Leads partnership with Systemwide business areas to understand hardware and software needs and coordinates with other Bank partners, as needed.

  • Strategizes to adopt and follow Agile and Product Management processes and methodologies to ensure the continued iterative enhancement of the platform.

  • Manages the manual and/or automated management of records and databases through our Asset Management tooling, which contains our asset inventory and information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software.

  • Oversees new Bank wide R&D program for all employees to adopt new equipment and software platforms and leading-edge technology.

  • Manages the creation/maintenance of metrics and reporting to provide close to real-time status on budgetary information, purchasing and disposal information, etc.

  • Oversees the identification, assessment, reporting, and mitigation of risks (e.g., compliance, security, financial, etc.) and/or breaches of policy and track remedial action to ensure risks are mitigated in a timely manner.

  • Leads partnership with BRMs, IT Comms, and Marketing on creation of Go-to-Market plans and communication plans to inform Bank customers about relevant product plans/updates.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or commensurate specialized training, certification, or work experience

  • Minimum seven years of work experience

  • Prior people leadership experience

  • Expert understanding and knowledge of current industry hardware and software trends and a demonstrated ability to learn and grow with an ever-changing technology landscape.

  • Expert knowledge of and practical experience using automation platforms to eliminate repetitive tasks and deliver customer-focused solutions.

  • Advanced familiarity with Agile product delivery frameworks and comfort working in an enterprise Agile environment with high levels of compliance to secure information assets.

  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to conduct sophisticated data analysis, modeling, and forecasting, and develop actionable insights for decision-making.

  • Expert in troubleshooting and providing support to end-users with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and provide guidance and training to other IT staff.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage executive level project engagements.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interpret results, develop communications and recommend improvements.

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.

  • Demonstrated managerial skills including leadership, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and highly developed personal, analytical and communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in office.
