Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Customer Engineering Project Engineer within our North Industrial Gases Team. This position can be located in Allentown, PA, Chicago, IL or Residence Based to support customers in IL and Wisconsin. This position requires 10 - 20% periodic travel to customer sites in the Midwest; travel is required during initial training

The Project Engineer will :

  • Drive cryogenic and industrial gas delivery system projects for customers- including technical bid support to understand customer system/design requirements

  • Develop technical proposals and estimates for the Commercial Sales team.

  • Be responsible for final system design and act as the overall project manager for the installation of the equipment - if awarded the contract.

  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager while receiving in-house training and guidance from a variety of team members. Communication and technical skills are paramount as there are many interfaces both internal and external to Air Products and with technical and non-technical personnel. This challenging position offers an excellent opportunity for career development, practical engineering, and project management experience.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Field

  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales Support or Operations

    Preferred Requirements

  • Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree

  • Strong computer skills for all Microsoft programs and drafting
