Honeywell Mechanical Reliability Specialist in Chickasaw, Alabama

Key Responsibilities:

This person is a key member of the Mobile site Mechanical Integrity team, with a primary focus on helping to define and execute inspections and repairs on tanks, vessels, and piping.

• Uses Meridium software to create inspection profiles for tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, piping, etc. with defined TMSs (Thickness Measurement Locations).

• Coordinates with site inspector(s) to ensure that inspection data is accurately logged into Meridium software.

• Uses inspection data to generates any required action plans such as repair or replacement options.

• Tracks inspection related action items to completion.

• Communicates long term replacement needs to site leadership for inclusion in the Capital planning process.

• Is a site technical resource for damage mechanism evaluation, and subsequent repairs to various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer).

• Takes a lead role in all facets of static equipment repair jobs, including scope definition, quotes, work oversite, QA/QC, and final acceptance testing.

• Represents the site as a participant in multi-plant mechanical integrity groups.

• Provides advanced input to the Maintenance, Planning, and Operations departments so that required equipment is made available as needed, and that resources are allocated to ensure all necessary inspections are completed on time.

• Routinely monitors for upcoming inspections and escalates any anticipated concerns as they develop.

• Works closely with Capital to ensure MI related equipment is designed and installed in a manner consistent with plant procedures and industry best practices.

• Ensures new static equipment has PMs in place for sustainable operation and maintenance.

• Is responsible for issuing purchase requisitions and purchase orders for certain mechanical integrity related spend.

• Performs tasks with minimal direction from supervisors or managers.

• Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills.

• Has knowledge of SAP maintenance functions: Work Order planning & scheduling, work order history entry, etc.YOU MUST HAVE:

• Industrial plant experience in a role familiar with static equipment inspections and repair.

WE VALUE:

• Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.

• API-510, API-570, and/or API-653 certifications preferred.

• Familiar with other relevant technical codes such as ASME Section VIII and RTP-1, etc.

• Familiar with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods such as Radiography, Dye-penetrant, etc).
