Summary You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE TECHNICIAN in the BUREAU MEDICINE AND SURGERY MILITARY TREATMENT FACILITY of NMRTU CHINA LAKE CA. This announcement uses the Expansion of Direct Hire Authority Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service Responsibilities You will plan, coordinate and conduct complete sampling evaluations of work operations. You will provide written documentation of samplings for the command. You will gather data on site. You will manage equipment calibration. You will establish inventory procedures Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR THE GS-08 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Identifying potential health hazards Ensuring compliance with established occupational safety and health regulations Utilizing automated systems to prepare a variety of technical reports. FOR THE GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing information to employees on safety or occupational health subjects. Collecting exposure data to assess work practices and environmental conditions. Monitoring exposure data to assess environmental conditions.
