As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:
Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays
Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures
Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)
Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed
Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies
Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models
Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient
Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff
In addition, this position will also assist with the front office duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or dental assistant experience preferred
Previous customer service or office experience
Proficiency or the ability to become proficient in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Foster a positive attitude and be a team player
Patient Care Hours:
Monday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Wednesday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Thursday 7:30am - 4:00p
Occasional Fridays 8:00am - 1:00pm as needed
