Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

Billing of water, purchase orders, including outgoing/incoming payments, bank balances, and banking, outgoing/incoming mail, telephone messages, and drop box contents. Additional tasks will also include daily upkeep of invoice dates, contractor work and gathering approval for pending payments. Further tasks will include village email and OUPS tickets.

Weekly tasks will include but are not limited to:

Vouchers, payroll, mileage reimbursements, funds deposited, village park and charge care use by approved Christiansburg personnel.

Monthly tasks will include but are not limited to:

Payroll, OPERS payments, bank account reconciliation, reconcile water billing with QuickBooks and the bank, split water, sewer, tower fees.

Shall attend all meetings of the legislative authority and keep a record of its proceedings and of all rules, bylaws, resolutions and ordinances passed or adopted, which shall be subject to the inspection of all persons interested. Voucher preparation prior to monthly council meetings, and monthly account payments., Additional tasks will also include posting council meeting agendas and council meeting minutes/transcription with submission of finalized/approved minutes for official record.

Quarterly tasks will include but are not limited to:

Federal/state tax filings, ODJFS and council pay.

Supplementary Tasks will include but are not limited to:

BWC report, budget submission, IRS taxes, payroll w/ 1099, sewer/deposit. Fiscal Officer must attend training programs for Clerks, Treasures and Village fiscal officers as may be provided by the Auditor of state and stay compliant to the Fiscal Integrity Act. Additional tasks may include assisting BOPA with testing of water, voucher preparation prior to monthly council meetings, and monthly account payments. Additional tasks will also include council meeting minutes/transcription with submission of finalized/approved minutes for official record.

Equipment Operated will include but not limited to:

Computer with Word, Excel and Adobe programs, calculator, copier, scanner, fax, telephone system and motor vehicle.

 

 

 

General description will include but not limited to:

Under general direction of the mayor shall perform the duties described by law for a Village Clerk/Treasurer and any other duties consistent with the nature of the position. Will cooperate with the Village Council and perform related clerical and administrative duties; prepare, file, and maintain records; prepare and monitor line item budgets for each account; oversee the issuance of payroll checks; handle finance and tax issues; maintain contract records and certify the required funding; maintain the Codified ordinance books; attend all Village Council meetings, attend all Board of Affairs meetings, attend various Village committee meetings as requested, and attend other meetings when requested.

Essential Functions of the Position will include but not limited to:

Reviews and maintains notes, loans and bonds; prepares financial information for applying for loans and bonds; files loan payments for projects with the appropriate agencies; certifies funds are available to issue purchase orders when necessary; maintains a cash journal, receipts, and appropriation ledgers for all funds and transactions; prepares a list of bills for council approval and upon approval, issues payment of bill; oversees the issuance of payroll disbursements., withholding deductions (including insurance, retirement, taxes, and voluntary deductions); forward payment of funds withheld and m
