Unity Landscape Design/Build, Inc Landscape Architect in Church Hill, Maryland

Unity's Landscape Architect position is an excellent opportunity for a professional who wants to join a growing and professional company pioneering environmental design and restoration. We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team. Unity Landscape Design Build (ULDB) is a full-service landscape design and construction company located outside of Chestertown on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. For over 25 years, we have been a name synonymous with high quality environmental landscape design and craftsmanship. Our mission is the design and construction of ecologically sensitive and functional outdoor living spaces.

Core Responsibilities ? Provide landscape architectural and construction oversight services for waterfront residential, municipal, and non-profit clientele. ? Work directly with the Unity sales team, clients, engineers, and building architects. ? Analyze and incorporate collected environmental data into design and presentations. ? Develop plans using Vectorworks software. ? Develop and manage estimates in QuickBooks software. ? Source plant material and other materials for projects sold. ? On-site layout and oversight of projects. ? Establish relationships through networking with local communities, counties, and state level agencies, environmental organizations, river keepers and related entities for project collaboration and growth. ? Assist or complete permitting applications for projects requiring permits. ? Attend required training, certifications, etc. as required to provide the essential functions of the position and to maintain licenses.

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies ? ASLA license preferred but will consider candidates with extensive experience and design backgrounds in lieu. ? 10+ years of high end residential and environmental landscape experience. ? Estimating and sales experience. ? Proficient in CAD-based design program. ? Strong background in wetland restoration, stormwater management design and ecological restoration techniques. ? Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. ? High attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task. ? Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. ? Effective time management skills. ? Ability to maintain professional decorum and confidentiality.

Education ? Bachelors degree in related field. Compensation and Benefits ? Salary $65,000-$80,000.00 per year commensurate with experience. ? Commission on gross sales secured if sales package is included in position. ? Competitive benefits include vacation, health insurance, and IRA retirement plan.
