Production Control Manager

Job Description

Summary: The Production Control Manager is a key leadership position with responsibility for leading the company’s plant cost management strategy, plant material cost, plant productivity planning, as well as additional supply chain strategies for domestic and overseas part procurement. The Production Control Manager reports directly to the Manufacturing General Manager.

Main Duties:

• Optimize operational resources while executing cost reduction and inventory controls.

• Conduct monthly capacity and performance analysis to ensure forecast and schedule alignment.

• Create and execute production planning and monitor inventory levels.

• Maintain a total cost perspective with a lean manufacturing mindset.

• Execute parts and materials arrangement planning and parts inventory plans.

• Execute Procurement-Campus Delivery logistic planning. - Promote new project preparation activities.

• Create strategies that effectively utilize lean business resources and achieve company objectives.

• Develop and maintain good project management plans.

• Report progress in a timely manner and determine next steps action plans.

• Support a fair and productive work environment built on trust and respect of all team members.

• Willingness to develop self to maximize abilities utilizing HR development plans.

Hard Skills

• 5+ years experience in production planning, management, sales, and/or procurement

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/PPT)

• Experience in automotive manufacturing environment

• Experience communicating with peers, subordinates, and upper-level management frequently

• Strong Project Management skills

• 5+ years experience leading/managing/developing a team

• Understands cost-reduction and inventory controls at a high level

• Understanding of cost management, material cost, plant productivity planning, and supply chain strategies for domestic & overseas part procurement

• Bachelors Degree (or higher) required for the role

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cibolo, Texas.

Work Environment

Works in a brand new auto-part manufacturing plant. Able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to travel on business in US or Japan.
