Job Overview As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Surgery is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. A full-time faculty position is available in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Department of Surgery. This position joins an active Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Program within the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center that is triple accreditation from the NAPBC (National Accreditation Program of Breast Centers), NQMBC (National Quality Metrics of Breast Centers), and the ACR (American College of Radiology). The successful applicant will be provided with a competitive salary and benefits, and the final faculty rank/title will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications. This position will be assigned clinical duties at the UC Health West Chester Hospital (WCH) and the UC Health Barrett Cancer Center. Essential Functions Duties will include responsibilities for the clinical, research and teaching activities for surgical trainees (residents and fellows) and medical students. Candidates must be committed to an academic career that combines outstanding patient care with excellent teaching and impactful research activities. Minimum Requirements Ohio medical license. MD/DO or equivalent degree. Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in General Surgery. Completion of Surgical Oncology or Breast Oncology fellowship. Additional Qualifications Considered Certification or eligible for Certification by the American Board of Surgery. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching and research.
