Our client located in Cincinnati is an industry global leader in developing consumer products in various areas of their business. Some of the industries that they support are Hygiene, Health and Beauty, Life Care as well as cosmetics. This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the biggest companies in the chemical and cosmetic field - looking to hire a 3 rd shift Chemist I!

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay: $25/hour

Schedule: 3 rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm – 6:30am

Major Responsibilities will include:

• Participate in all facets of product testing (i.e. bulk product, finished product, & packaging material) while being GMP-compliant, inclusive of OT when needed, & recording these results in SAP.

• Report all out of specification (OOS) results to a QS Leader or designee & Production & communicating to suppliers when necessary.

• Release bulk products, when appropriate, in a timely manner via SAP.

• Review production documentation & ensure that documentation was compliant.

• Support the initiatives of key manufacturing & quality personnel, such as testing products for process improvements & ensuring planned requests are adhered to.

• Ensure the good maintenance-state of the appointed laboratory instruments, that the lab is in a good housekeeping-state, & that retains are maintained.

Minor Responsibilities will include:

• Completed microbial testing set-ups for finished products, as needed.

• Support Raw Material sampling using aseptic techniques, as needed.

• Writing, editing, and reviewing SOPs and other technical documents.

• Training and mentoring technicians on testing techniques.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar.

• 0-2 years of laboratory experience (undergraduate lab experience is okay!)

• Understanding of pH, viscosity, GC and basic wet chemistry.
