We are seeking a Communications Specialis t to join our Marketing and Communication Department at our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role will lead media relations and media monitoring efforts in collaboration with the team's Marketing and Communication Executive to support business development, grow brand awareness and ensure consistency in messaging . The ideal candidate is a n excellent communicator and relationship-builder who can develop valuable content and get it in front of the right media outlets and audiences . The candidate should also be detail-oriented, organized, and a team player who enjoy s collaborating with a variety of regional offices, project teams and corporate departments . What You Will Do:

  • Develop relevant and engaging pitches and story angles that translate into positive news coverage and reputational awareness for the company.
  • Respond to media inquiries, story opportunities or issues in collaboration with local leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Write news releases/media alerts, web stories and thought leadership.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR efforts, continuously identifying ways to improve strategies based on performance and industry trends.
  • Responsible for community management functions across the company's social media platforms, and for generating social media content directly tied to media placements .
  • Assist with project milestone events media tours and regional business partner/customer events, as needed.
  • Provide support during crisis communications or issues management.
  • Understand and maximize our use of technology, such as Meltwater, Sm a rtsheet (project management) , Acquia (digital asset management) and analytics tools.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations , Communication, Journalism , English or equivalent .
  • 3+ years of work experience in public relations , journalism or communication role.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, writing, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented s elf-starter ; strong organizational and problem-solving skills .
  • Comfortable in a deadline-oriented environment .
  • Collaborative team member .
  • Photography/videography experience is a plus.
  • Minimal tr avel as needed .
