JOB SUMMARY Assist the Director of HR and Organizational Development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A working knowledge of business or human resources at a level normally acquired through completion of a two-year degree in business administration or human resource management. Requires knowledge of office procedures and word processing software or office related discipline and two to four years of experience in a human resources role. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Adobe spark experience is helpful. KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule. Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential. Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment. Must exercise initiative, judgment and confidence as well as exhibit a strong desire to acquire knowledge of company practices, policies and procedures. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the HR function by providing administrative and technical support - assist in the updating, revising and development of current and future programs. Assist the HR staff with daily administration of corporate, legal and regulatory reporting requirements. Assist with onboarding process including, but not limited to; orientation and training of new employees - process forms, answer basic policy and benefit questions, and ensure programs and processes are up-to-date and compliant. Assist with or complete safety training of new hires. Assist with or complete employment verifications, MVRs and other requests requiring employment verification per established processes and procedures. Assist in the development, administration, communication, and interpretation of policies that relate to the human resources function including, but not limited to, harassment and violence in the workplace, benefits, employment, and paid time off. Support benefit administration by assisting with HCR testing, distribution of SPDs and SMMs, and open enrollment activities such as open enrollment meetings, form collection and review, and scanning into the HRIS system. Assist with the FMLA process including, but not limited to, providing appropriate request forms, tracking and administration. Maintain HR documentation in HRIS system including, but not limited to, processing and scanning pertinent documents. Assist with recruitment process including, but not limited to, attending job fairs, posting jobs internally and externally, applicant tracking and following process through closeout of requisition. Track and follow-up on company required trainings. Assist with compiling federal reports including, but not limited to, Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1, EEO Surveys, VETs 100, along with other compliance or requests for employment information. Assist with updating employee handbooks and job descriptions. Assist with prequalification process. Some travel may be required. Perform additional duties as assigned.
