INDUSTRIAL PAINTER Summary FEC / Fairbanks Morse is looking for an Industrial Paint Lead in their Cincinnati, OH facility. The individual should be familiar with various types of painting and related equipment. Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures: Reads work order or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting.

``` - Smooths surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces, using sand blasting.

``` - Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knife.

``` - Selects premixed paints, or mixes required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint that matches specified colors. - Paints surfaces, using brushes/hvlp, spray gun, or paint rollers.

``` - Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.

``` - May be designated according to type of work performed as Industrial Painter. - Ensure scheduling of parts, preparation and completion - Record keeping - responsible for managing painting documentation standards

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • 2 years related experience and/or training strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with military specifications a plus.
