Infusion pharmacy technicians work collaboratively within the UC Medical Center infusion centers dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with cancer and other infusion medication needs. Infusion pharmacy technicians perform hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding through best practices and support of compounding technology. Infusion pharmacy technicians are essential members of the collective interprofessional infusion teams. Education: Minimum Required: High School Diploma, GED Equivalent Preferred Degree: Associate degree License and Certification:

• Current pharmacy technician registration by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Current certified technician certificate (approved by Ohio BOP)
• Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) Certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire/transfer
• Registration and certification throughout their employment with the UC Health Pharmacy Department.

Years of Experience: Minimum Required: 3 years equivalent experience. Preferred: 5 Years equivalent experience Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise sound professional judgment; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.
