Please Note: this position would start January 2025 This position is located in Cincinnati, Ohio and will support the attorneys in the Office of General Counsel, with a focus on the administrative and logistical aspects of litigation insurance reimbursement reports, audit letters, the Litigation, Regulatory and Environmental quarterly reporting to the Duke Energy Board of Directors, responding to customer account subpoenas, and varying legal matters, among other duties and attorneys as assigned. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsibilities & Duties: Drafts, edits, and proofreads correspondence, presentations, and litigation related documents in an accurate, complete, and timely manner and with a high level of attention to detail, using Word, Excel or other Microsoft products. Assists with reviewing, proofreading, citing and quality checking all documents and work product. Assists with all aspects of logistics relating to litigation insurance reimbursement reports, audit letters, the Litigation, Regulatory and Environmental quarterly reporting to the Duke Energy Board of Directors. Assists with preparation and finalizing litigation insurance reimbursement reports, audit letters, the Litigation, Regulatory and Environmental quarterly reporting to the Duke Energy Board of Directors and presentations in an accurate, complete, and timely manner. Timely and accurately maintains Excel spreadsheets and Team sites to support the work product. Coordinates review of work product with executive officers, management of the Company, internal stakeholders and managing the process from draft to finalization. Gathers documentation from internal resources and provides responses to customer account subpoenas. Must possess the ability to multitask and stay flexible in a fast-paced environment while working as part of a team with attorneys and paralegals. Screens and prioritizes email and other correspondence; responds to requests and emails with little direction or supervision required. Serves as a floater/back-up to support the Legal Administrative Assistant team, as needed. Maintains attorney calendars and tracks deadlines using Outlook and SharePoint; schedules appointments, internal/external meetings; makes decisions on priority and changes calendars; arranges and coordinates all business travel, luncheons and/or dinner logistics; assists with tracking and timely paying attorney CLE and bar dues. Assists with development and maintenance of Teams Sites, SharePoint sites, file shares, and SFTP sites or other electronic media, as needed. Responds to inquiries in a prompt, respectful and professional manner from officers, management, other employees and external sources regarding a variety of legal questions and other matters and determines what, how and to whom information is to be communicated with little direction or supervision required. Always maintains confidentiality when handling information of a confidential nature. Serves as the process owner for matter management, hard-copy and electronic files, databases, document management systems, and specialized computer software systems, including e-billing for the matters of the attorneys supported by this position Performs routine administrative duties such as copying, scanning, filing, creating and maintaining files, and preparing mailings.
