This Position provides leadership and direction for the project implementation, construction management, and customer engagement associated with Energy Services electrical infrastructure, resiliency, reliability, energy efficiency, and mechanical equipment improvement projects across all Duke Energy services territories and beyond (services are not limited to regulated utility customers). Each project is customer specific and independently contracted. The Energy Services project implementation team will work closely with Large Account Management, Business Development, and Energy Services Design & Standards to construct projects that deliver customer value. Project size range from $250,000 to $25 million capital expenditure with implementation schedules of a few months to multi-year. This position will lead, organize and develop the project management workforce to effectively execute project implementation to ensure delivery on-time, under-budget, and in-scope. Additionally, this role will work with existing customers on development of a sales and service business implementing energy and electrical improvements at cost plus 20 percent or greater margin. Typical projects include managed services for a period of ten or more years; this role will work with the Energy Services Operations team to ensure efficient, effective, reliable service over the life of the contracted services, which will require emergency outage management support. Engineering projects include commercial, industrial, institutional, and governmental facility electrical infrastructure, backup generation, indoor and outdoor lighting, CHP, energy efficiency, power quality, reliability, and other energy related enhancements. This position will ensure the implemented design, operation and maintenance standards and specifications comply with all environmental, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements, and will deliver reliable, safe performance to meet contractual requirements and customer expectations. Additionally, the position is responsible for developing and maintaining multi-disciplinary relationships with external construction management companies, as well as relationships with regulated utility distribution and transmission departments to ensure our regulated solutions integrate with the utility delivery system. The role is customer facing with many of our largest load customers and is responsible for operating under multiple regulatory and non-regulated business models across the Duke territories and continental United States. The role will manage a minimum of six direct reports based on current projects and implementation of annual $100 million revenue target. Office location is shown as Raleigh, NC. However, other locations within the Duke Energy services may be considered.Responsibilities Leads the Project Implementation team to ensure engineered projects deliver reliability & quality service and are implemented on-time, under-budget, and in-scope. Manage the project implementation of all commercial, industrial, institutional and governmental facility electrical infrastructure and energy management projects.
