Description

We are seeking a Patient Service Representative in the healthcare industry, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role offers a contract period, with the possibility of becoming contract to hire employment opportunity, and is centered around providing excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle pre-registration and financial clearance functions prior to patient service

• Validate patient's demographic and insurance information accurately

• Obtain pre-certification/authorization as required for patient services

• Schedule patients and input necessary details into the management system

• Provide support to the rheumatology call center by managing patient inquiries

• Leverage customer service and phone skills to ensure patient satisfaction

• Maintain accurate customer records and monitor patient accounts for necessary actions

• Process customer credit applications efficiently

• Utilize customer service skills to resolve any customer inquiries or issues.

Requirements • Proven experience in a healthcare or NHS setting

• Proficiency in customer service

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in using healthcare software and computer systems

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required

• High level of empathy and understanding when dealing with patients

• Ability to follow protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations.
