NovaCare Rehabilitation and the University of Cincinnati are now accepting applicants for a full-time Physical Therapist for it's Sports Residency Program. The University of Cincinnati (UC) is a NCAA Division I, public university located in Cincinnati, OH. Employment and full-benefits for this position will be through NovaCare Rehabilitation. The successful applicant will report directly to the Director of Sports Medicine/Clinic Manager. Responsibilities and Duties will include: Performs assessment, rehabilitation and treatment for UC athletes and patients. Coordinates rehabilitation of injuries and surgical cases with the staff athletic trainers and team physicians. Completes accurate and timely electronic documentation of services in accordance with professional and compliance standards. Maintains Ohio State Licensure through the OTPTAT Board for physical therapy. Hours Needed: 40 hours Compensation. Salary based on experience. Benefits. Responsibilities Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures. Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care. Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff. Qualifications Doctoral Degree (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an APTA Accredited University is REQUIRED. Preferred minimum four (4) years of clinical experience with athletes and active populations. Current Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) is REQUIRED. Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) is PREFERRED. Licensed, or immediately eligible to be licensed, with the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training Board (OTPTAT).
