JOB SUMMARY

The Power BI Report Writer position is within Prolink’s Information Technology department and partners with key stakeholders to drive Power BI development and administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Build Analysis Services reporting models

● Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop

● Connect to data sources and import and transform data for Business Intelligence

● Ensure appropriate design methodology and project documentation

● Provide technical support and guidance in delivering solutions/services, resolving issues, implementing change requests, and advising report creators/users on tool functionality

● Showcase Power BI functionalities by creating proof of concepts to add value to the business at the report and platform levels

● Mentor Power Users and other business users in the development and deployment of Data Models, Reports, and Dashboards

● Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

● Willing and able to travel as needed

● 3+ years of experience in Power BI platform

● Experience in prototyping, designing, requirement analysis, custom visual creation, advanced level calculations, and DAX queries

● Strong proficiency and knowledge of Power BI, including developing, publishing, and scheduling reports and developing compatible tabular and multidimensional models

● Excellent analytical thinking,

● Able to understand business requirements and develop data models accordingly

● Able to use embedded analytics to integrate Power BI reports into other applications

● Able to implement row level security on data using knowledge of application security layer models and translate data into informative visuals and reports

● Able to be flexible and adaptable to meet tight deadlines, deliver results, and quickly pivot based on shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment​

● Able to use a variety of business or technical programs to complete tasks​

● High level of integrity, motivation, accountability, perseverance, and alignment with Prolink's values

PREFERENCES

Bachelors degree preferred. Candidates with additional and relevant experience, education, licensing, or certification beyond the role’s requirements and/or specific to the nature of Prolink’s business will be given additional consideration in the candidate selection process.
