Geosyntec is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with at least fifteen years of experience to join our geoenvironmental and geotechnical engineering practice in our Cincinnati, OH office. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities. Essential skills and responsibilities include: Developing and/or reviewing technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for: civil design; landfill design, site development and grading; site layout, stormwater management; and erosion and sediment controls; Completion or review of civil and stormwater management design packages; Providing construction engineering support to large civil-design projects; Completing construction quality assurance tasks for large civil-design projects; Providing oversight and project management of multi-disciplinary projects and assistance in managing Client Programs; Developing and maintaining strong collaborative internal (i.e., within Geosyntec) and external (i.e., clients and subcontractors) relationships; Understanding of local, state and federal regulations related to solid waste; Mentoring and developing early career engineers; Preparing task orders and proposals including scope of work, cost/fee estimates, schedule, presentations, etc. Preparing permit applications, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and Occasional fieldwork associated with design and construction services. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering. (required) Advanced degree in the same. (preferred) Registered as a Professional Engineer in the U.S. (required) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 15 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
