Jacobs Supplier Quality Coordinator (Life Sciences) 15202 in Cincinnati, Ohio

As a Supplier Quality Coordinator for Life Sciences North America you will coordinate a team of SQS employees and 3rd party inspectors on Jacobs’ Projects. This position is responsible for effectively and proactively implementing techniques for planning, coordinating, and reporting on the daily activities of the inspections and advanced expediting of equipment suppliers, component manufacturers, and construction sub-contractors. The Supply Quality Coordinator reports directly to the Manager of Supplier Quality Surveillance for Life Sciences North America. while maintaining an indirect connection with the SQS Manager and Project Manager for the assigned project. Responsibilities:

• As an overall Project Supplier Quality Coordinator, use critical thinking and problem solving to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Project’s SQS efforts

• Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools

• Evaluate project and equipment schedules and coordinate the assignments of Shop Expeditors and 3rd party inspectors accordingly

• Review 3rd party inspector qualifications to ensure they are up to date prior to assignments. Maintain qualification documentation in the project repository

• Act as liaison between the 3rd party inspectors and the Jacobs Work Package Owners for the relevant equipment orders

• Provide access to project documentation for the 3rd party inspectors. This may include specifications, P&ID’s, procedures, etc.

• Track effort hours from both 3rd party inspectors and advanced expeditors against the project budget. Calculate and report required Estimates To Complete (ETC) for hours needed to complete the scope of work

• Attend project expediting meetings. Identify targeted needs for shop expediting. Assign SQS Engineer or Technician to fulfill these project needs

• Review reports from both inspectors and SQS engineers for completeness, then distribute reports to relevant stakeholders, and file in the project repository

• Facilitate status update meetings to inform stakeholders of upcoming inspections as well as results from completed inspections

• Coordinate closure of inspection non-conformance findings. Document punch list items and drive them to closure

• Act as a subject matter expert in regard to the project inspection and shop expediting plan

• Help stakeholders in understanding the overall inspection process

• May participate in internal and external supplier quality surveillance presentations

• Work independently, with limited or minimal guidance, in the most complex situations. No direct reports. Coordinate the work of inspectors and advanced expediting personnel who perform the SQS activities

• Interact with project or departmental personnel in performance of the SQS activities

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project experience in lieu of degree

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or capital construction purchasing, contracting, expediting, supplier quality management and material management

• 2+ years of experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects

• Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

• Must possess strong communication, organization, and management abilities. This position involves the coordination of multiple activities across multiple projects
