EMSL is seeking a Project Specialist for its Special Projects group in Cinnaminson, NJ. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Log in samples from all lab divisionsOpen packages; handle, count, split environmental samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that the packaging is not compromisedCreate and send invoices to clientsReview paperwork and accurately interpret customer chain of custody for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctnessCommunicate directly with clients via email and phone to address project needs and resolve problems.Record and report electronic and hard copy sample results.Track projects via electronic and hard copy methods.Organize and maintain project files.File, organize, and dispose of samples in accordance with SOP and safety guidelines.Other duties as assigned by managerRequirements:High School degree or equivalent; Associates Degree/Some College Coursework completed is a plusThree to Five years' experience with high volume data entry is desiredPrevious experience with chain of custody documents is a plusMust be proficient in MS Office and must be able to type 50 words per minuteExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clienteleMust be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-taskMust be a team playerMust be able to prioritize work assignmentsMust be organized and have attention to detailCritical thinking skills and the ability to work independently are a plusMust be able to lift min of 50 poundsMust be able to stand and sit for various lengths of timeAvailable Shift:Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending accountTo find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com EOE including Veterans and Disabled
