Our client, a leading manufacturer in the metalworking industry, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the Production Department supporting the Machining Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Clackamas, OR

Schedule: Second Shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm

Pay Range: $22 to $28 per hour DOE

What’s the Job?

1. Setup and perform machining operations on various metals, castings, forgings, and fabrications.

2. Operate one or more major machines and one or more minor machines.

3. Use a computer system to clock in and out of daily work and follow shop orders or Non-Conformity Tickets.

4. Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.

5. Use measuring tools to control machining operations and verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.

What’s Needed?

1. Experience with setup and operation of CNC machinery.

2. Proficiency with measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, tape measures, and calipers.

3. Ability to calculate and set controls for machining factors or enter commands for computerized machine control media.

4. Knowledge of basic machine maintenance, including checking and maintaining oils and fluids.

5. Capability to operate a forklift and other lifting devices.
