Pacific Seafood Key Accounts Sales Intern in Clackamas, Oregon

Pacific Seafood offers a unique, 13-week internship program that gives interns the chance to make an immediate impact on our company. Starting with a structured orientation week at our corporate headquarters near Portland, Ore, you’ll be able to meet the team and learn the full scope of our business. Throughout the summer months, you’ll dive deep into a meaningful project for our company, which you’ll then present to our executive leadership team at the end of your internship. This internship will focus on our sales strategy within our National Accounts sales team. They will work with the sales team to understand current strategy for sales and identify gaps for us to build out our new strategy. They will connect with our marketing team to understand current trends and buying habits within the market that we can target to create value and fill a need for our customers.

At Pacific Seafood, we believe that we should first identify the customer’s needs then satisfy them profitably. Within this internship, we will identify the needs of consumers in the market, then work with the sales and marketing teams to create a strategy that will satisfy those needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with team members to develop an understanding of the current sales targets and strategies in place.

  • Research current market trends and consumer behaviors.

  • Research current strategies that our customers within the retail and foodservice industry have and how we can align with those strategies.

  • Identify and find creative solutions to meet the needs of our customers and the end consumers.

  • Understand the full production and distribution process within our company to create a strategy within current and future capabilities and capacity.

  • Comprehend the costing and profitability from the sales perspective and at the processing/distribution levels.

  • Gain an understanding of high-level communication, organizational skills, and meeting deadlines.

  • Prepare project overview and present findings to executive leadership.

  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

    What You Bring to Pacific Seafood

    Required

  • Pursuit of a Business related undergraduate/graduate degree with an interest in project management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Preferred

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  • Highly organized and excellent with details and accuracy

  • Planning and problem solving

    Total Compensation:
