Pacific Seafood Warehouse Truck Loader - Night Shift in Clackamas, Oregon

Summary: 

To assist with the smooth flow of all warehouse-related activities.  Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in receiving, inventory, and order processing. To load/unload and move trucks in a proper and safe manner.  Responsible for handling the product carefully and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Attend and participate in department meetings that cover safety, quality and productivity issues. 

  • Picking and packing orders. 

  • Work with transport drivers to ensure incoming loads are received in a timely manner 

  • Able to review receiving documentation to ensure accuracy 

  • Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order. 

  • Properly operate all powered equipment (forklift, pallet jack). 

  • Make sure the load is properly secured. 

  • Unload products from incoming delivery trucks. 

  • Moving and staging trucks and tractor trailers as needed. 

  • Provide efficient, productive operations of company and product. 

  • Verify order to ensure correct products loaded. 

  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.  

  • Address and resolve problems, as appropriate. 

  • Must achieve cost-effective standards for all warehouse activities. Practice good housekeeping skills i.e. clean up spills immediately or flag the area off, avoid blocking emergency exits and report any potential hazards to a supervisor 

  • Follow all established safety rules and obey safety signs and tags. 

  • Will be called upon to drive (deliveries) several times per month. 

  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to manager. 

  • Represent the company in a positive manner in all interactions. 

  • Must achieve cost-effective standards for all warehouse activities.   

  • Perform other duties, as assigned 

    What You Bring to Pacific Seafood: 

    Required 

  • High school diploma or GED. 

  • Minimum of 1 year related experience. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted. 

    Preferred 

  • Prior experience in driving both tractor trailers and straight trucks. 

  • Forklift certification a plus.
