General Summary Responsible for a variety of support activities.   Essential Job Functions The job responsibilities for a teacher aide may vary greatly from location to location; however, consider the following responsibilities when hiring: * Ensures teaching materials and supplies are available for teacher's use prior to and during the instructional hour. * Ensures room is properly set up and clean. * Assists with tracking and managing student attendance. * Assists with the efforts to retain students in the program. * Monitors “Ace it!” Tutoring rewards (store). * Acts as a substitute teacher in scheduled teacher’s absence (if person also meets “Ace it!” Tutoring teacher requirements). * Performs other duties, as assigned.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Must be able to solve problems in a quick and efficient manner.  Must have good communication skills and be detail oriented and organized.    The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
