Position Highlights:
Seeking Emergency Medicine residency trained ABEM C/E Emergency Medicine Physician for full or dedicated part time position (>1200hrs annually)
Approximately 1800 hours annually, with significant paid ETO benefit.
12 Bed ED, approximately 10500 annual patient visits
Telehealth services include TeleNeuro, TelePsych, TeleICN and TeleEmergency
24/7 in-house respiratory therapists
24/7 CT/Xray, all reads in real time by radiologists. MRI and formal US weekdays
Primarily single coverage 12hr shifts with 2nd Provider swing shifts on some days
Flexible scheduling in 2-month blocks with mix of day/night shifts
Generous paid time-off and CME/licensure stipends
Night shift differential and premium rate for optionally picking up extra shifts
Optional potential for academic affiliation and/or partial administrative role if interested
Essential Functions:
Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.
Performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes, Issuing appropriate prescriptions and administering medicine.
Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays.
Communicates necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patient.
In collaboration with physician, arranges for consultations with or referrals to other medical professional or community services
Educates patient on health habits, self-examinations, behavior management, need for follow-up assessments/treatments, at home medical care, medication and other issues related to medical or health problems
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Successful completion of educational program recognized by the Board of Medicine
Licensed as a Physician in the state of New Hampshire
Successful completion of an ACGME Emergency Medicine Residency program, ABEM Certified or Eligible
If ABEM eligible (not certified), must have current ACLS/BLS, PALS, ATLS
Licensed in New Hampshire with DEA prior to start
