Landscape Laborer: 6 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 10/1/24-12/1/24.

Employer: Greenview Team Inc. 8600 Roll Road, Clarence Center, NY 14032.

Duties: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, litter & debris. Operate vehicles or powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, plant trees, shrubs & flowers. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges. Water trees, shrubs, flowers, & lawns. Gather and remove litter/debris & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs.

Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites: (work throughout the following counties/areas): Erie, NY, Niagara, NY, and areas of Buffalo-Cheektowaga-Niagara Falls, NY.

No education required. No experience required. On-the-job training available

Work Hours: Schedule and hours many vary. Monday- Friday, 7am-5pm, 55 hours/week at 18.05-$25/hour. OT at $27.08-$37.50/hour. Saturday work required, when necessary. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer's discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.

Voluntary housing arrangements may be provided, upon availability, along with the corresponding deduction of $100/week (utilities included).

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
