The Department of Human Services is seeking a Facility Safety Manager to join our team at Clarks Summit State Hospital. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee and manage the communication center, fire prevention and suppression systems, disaster planning, emergency operations, risk management, safety inspections, and traffic control. You will establish and enforce fire and safety regulations at Clarks Summit State Hospital, conduct periodic reviews of all departments to ensure compliance with fire safety and patient safety standards, and investigate any accidents or injuries. Additionally, you will ensure the safe and effective operation of the hospital's building entry access system and video recording system for common areas. You will also supervise mandatory in-service fire and safety training for all staff by developing relevant training courses based on site-specific issues and conducting annual mandatory training sessions for the entire hospital staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Monday - Friday, rotating weekends off, whereas Monday - Tuesday are the alternate days off; bi-weekly. Overtime and travel as needed. FREE PARKING! QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
